Facing a plumbing issue in your rental home? Fortunately, it's normally pretty easy to resolve these problems. Use the advice below to troubleshoot your issue:
Drain Clogs
Is your shower or sink drain clogged? You can purchase drain cleaning tools at most hardware stores. Many sell a long plastic cleaner you can use to fish hair and other debris out of the drain. You might also want to purchase cleaning products designed to flush clogs out, but be careful to only use non-corrosive cleaning agents.
Toilet Clogs
If your toilet is clogged, use a plunger to attempt to move the blockage. Be careful not to flush the toilet if it's clogged, as this could cause the basin to overflow.
Have you lost power in your rental home? Before you get in touch with us, contact your utility company. The electrical company should be able to determine whether your home is affected by any widespread outages and provide additional information for troubleshooting the issue.
If you don't have enough hot water in your rental, there may be a problem with your heating tank. Locate the hot water heater and check that the settings are correct. If your tank in vacation mode? Is there a pilot light, and if so, is it lit?

If your air conditioning or heating system not working properly? First, check the settings on the central thermostat for the system. If you're unable to isolate the problem, get in touch.
